FAQs ON TAROT
Why should I consider a Tarot reading?
A Tarot reading can provide valuable insights into your life, relationships, career, and personal growth. It also can help you gain clarity on your current situation, explore potential paths, and make informed decisions moving forward. I have often witnessed how the Tarot can help someone become unstuck and walkway feeling empowered to tackle a certain worry, problem, or dilemma in their life. The Tarot is rich in symbolism and archetypes that can help you to connect and uncover blind spots in your current thinking, decision-making, and/or actions.
What can I expect from a Tarot reading?
My Tarot readings usually last around 90 minutes and are generally completed in the following manner:
-
Before the Tarot reading, you should prepare your questions, preferably open-ended, so the reading can flow and time is used wisely. (Please see 'What types of questions can I ask during the reading?' section below for more guidance). Usually, I will ask you to pick a color and a number from 1-42 that first comes to mind and will explain their significance later in the session.
-
During the Tarot reading, I normally start with a general card reading that may provide insight into what is going on around you or provide support for one of the questions you may wish to ask. For each of the questions, I will lay out the cards in a specific spread, usually in a Celtic Cross, in which I may explain the importance of the positions, symbols, and directions of the Tarot. I will then interpret the cards and discuss their meanings with you in the context of your question or situation, providing possible guidance and insight.
-
After the Tarot reading, I will ask you to pick a random card from one of my Oracle cards that may provide a summary or a closure to our session. I will send you a photo of the Oracle card, crystals used, and any other cards or weblinks that may be of interest and reference for you from our reading.
How can a Tarot reading help me make decisions?
A Tarot reading can present different perspectives and potential outcomes based on the energies and thoughts surrounding your situation. This information can help you weigh your options, consider new possibilities, and ultimately make informed decisions that align with your goals and values. However, a Tarot reading is not intended to replace professional advice or guidance in any way. Furthermore, the results of Tarot readings are not guaranteed and may vary depending on individual interpretations and circumstances. As Tarot readings are not absolute and carved in stone, I may offer my opinion and advice when needed, but I will not interfere with the free will of you, the querent.
What types of questions can I ask during the reading?
You can ask specific questions about various aspects of your life, such as the following:
-
relationships
-
family and friendships
-
career
-
travel
-
finance
-
personal growth
-
self-improvement
-
decision-making
I will tailor the reading to address your concerns and provide insights relevant to your query. For more insightful and deeper readings, I prefer questions to be open-ended using 'what, why, and/or how' instead of simple closed-end questions which have ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses. If you are unsure of how to formulate the question for a specific area of your life, we can work on the question together for what resonates the most for you during the reading.
How do I prepare for my first reading?
Before your Tarot reading, take some time to reflect on your goals, questions, or concerns as this will help you to focus your energy and make the most of your reading. You may also want to have a notebook handy to take notes during your session.
For a more insightful reading, please formulate your questions to be open-ended. For example, how can I attract a healthy and loving partnership into my life? (Instead of a close-ended question, such as will I find love?)
Lastly, please come with an open mind before the session. A Tarot reading may not always “give” the answers you were expecting and are not like a genie, granting your wishes upon request. However, a tarot reading may just provide insight into what you may need or even reconsider at that moment in your life.
Can you do readings over the phone?
Yes. Since most of my clients are international, the majority of my readings are through video call. I primarily work through WhatsApp, but I am open to completing the reading on another video platform if using WhatsApp is not possible. If you are in the London area, it is also possible to have your cards read in-person. We can discuss which platform or location can work best for you.

FAQs ON REIKI
What exactly is Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic healing technique that originates from Japan. It involves the practitioner channeling universal energy (also known as "chi" or "ki") into the recipient's body, promoting relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. It's a popular choice for those seeking a natural, non-invasive way to enhance their physical and emotional health.
Why should I consider a Reiki session?
Reiki is a holistic healing technique that originates from Japan. It involves the practitioner channeling universal energy (also known as "chi" or "ki") into the recipient's body, promoting relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. It's a popular choice for those seeking a natural, non-invasive way to enhance their physical and emotional health. The gentle power of Reiki can enhance well-being and restore balance to mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is a holistic healing practice that channels natural energy through gentle touch, promoting relaxation, easing pain, and fostering emotional release. Whether one is facing stress, physical discomfort, or seeking spiritual growth, Reiki offers a peaceful and supportive space to heal and rejuvenate. By activating the body's innate healing abilities, Reiki can lead to profound shifts in energy and consciousness, helping individuals feel more connected and aligned with their highest self.
What can I expect during a Reiki session?
My Reiki sessions are around 90 minutes in-person only in London and are generally completed in the following manner:
-
Before the Reiki session, I will ask you some basic questions on your health and what brings you to the appointment. I will also provide a brief overview of Reiki and explain how the session will work. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and consider arriving a few minutes early to relax and acclimate to the space. It's also a good idea to avoid heavy meals and stimulants like caffeine before your session.
-
During the session, you will lay down, fully clothed, on the Reiki table and we will work on a few breathing exercises. I will gently and respectfully place my hands on various parts of your body, such as the head, shoulders, chest, abdomen, and limbs. Generally, I will start with placing my hands on the crown of your head and work down and around your body. Though I usually work from head to toe, I may be pulled to other parts of your body that may need attention and/or energy. Many people experience a warm, comforting sensation, while others may feel a gentle tingling or see colors. The results can vary, but the hope is for you to feel relaxed and/or refreshed after the session. The intention is solely to channel healing energy and promote well-being. It's important to note that Reiki is a non-sexual practice, with the focus on fostering a safe and comfortable environment for relaxation and personal growth. Boundaries are respected at all times, ensuring a respectful and nurturing experience for both practitioner and recipient.
-
After the Reiki, we will have some herbal tea to discuss any sensations, feelings, or thoughts you experienced during the session. Reiki is generally considered safe and non-invasive. However, some people may experience mild emotional or physical sensations, such as temporary fatigue or heightened emotions, as their body processes the energy. It is also important to drink plenty of water and if needed, rest or sleep more at home after the session. It is not recommended to do any strenuous or overly social activities after the Reiki session.
Will I notice the benefits of a Reiki session right away?
This will vary from each person. While many people experience an immediate sense of relaxation and well-being after a Reiki session, the cumulative effects of Reiki are often more noticeable over time. Regular sessions can lead to a deeper sense of balance, resilience, and overall improved health.
Can I do a Reiki session on a video call?
Technically, yes. Reiki can be done anywhere, no matter the distance. Since I like to be a memorable and personal experience, I prefer to work with people face-to-face. Currently, I work with clients in or around the London area only at this moment in time.
What is your lineage to Reiki?
My journey into the profound world of Reiki began in an unexpected moment while I was finalizing grades at the school where I worked as a teacher and principal. One day, as I was immersed in my tasks, the word 'Reiki' unexpectedly resonated in my mind. Despite knowing very little about it, I felt a compelling urge to explore this mysterious call. I immediately went online, and within minutes, I discovered Jordi Ibern, who would later become my Reiki Master. Intrigued, I booked a session that very week. The experience was transformative; after my session, it was unmistakably clear that Reiki was calling me. I was drawn deeply to the practice and knew without a doubt that I needed to pursue training. I began my formal Reiki education in Barcelona, Spain, in October 2016, starting with Usui Reiki I and II, and by December 2017, I had become a Reiki Master.
My Reiki lineage is as follows:

Mikao Usui
Mikao Usui was the founder of Reiki, a spiritual practice developed in the early 20th century in Japan. Known for his deep spiritual insights and healing abilities, Usui developed Reiki after a profound mystical experience in 1922 on Mount Kurama. He dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of this healing technique, emphasizing self-improvement and spiritual enlightenment. Usui’s teachings have inspired countless practitioners worldwide, making Reiki a globally recognized form of energy healing.

Chujiro Hayashi
A disciple of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi was instrumental in spreading Reiki beyond its traditional roots. A retired naval officer, Hayashi simplified and systematized the healing techniques to make them more accessible and teachable. His contributions to Reiki include the development of the hand position system used in treatments today. He also played a key role in transitioning Reiki from a mystical private practice to a public healing art, laying the groundwork for its international expansion.

Hawayo Takata was crucial in introducing Reiki to the Western world. Born in Hawaii to Japanese immigrant parents, she discovered Reiki in Japan while seeking treatment for her health issues. After profound healing, she studied under Chujiro Hayashi, becoming one of the first female and foreign Reiki Masters. Takata dedicated her life to teaching and practicing Reiki, establishing numerous clinics and training 22 Reiki Masters, ensuring the practice's spread and preservation outside of Japan.
Hawayo Takata

Barbara W. Ray was as a significant figure in bringing Reiki to the Western world. She developed the "The Radiance Technique" version of Reiki after being trained in the traditional Japanese methods. Her approach emphasized the integration of Reiki into everyday life, promoting healing and wellness on multiple levels. Ray authored several books on Reiki, further educating the public and deepening the practice’s reach and understanding globally.

Jordi Ibern is a renowned Reiki, meditation, and mindfulness teacher based in Barcelona, Spain. Born in Lleida, his journey into these spiritual practices began in 2002 when he sought a more fulfilling life, leading him to study various forms of Reiki, including Western Usui Reiki Ryoho and Japanese Jikiden Reiki. He enriched his understanding through extensive training in mindfulness and meditation under revered teachers like Thich Nhat Hanh. Beyond his teachings, Jordi has authored "The Spiritual Path of Reiki" and founded the Kisetsu, Reiki & Meditation School.
